Having gotten some new work in the quarry just outside of Washington DC, I am so thankful to Attache Property Management, LLC for the great corporate furnished rental in Washington D.C. they set me up with while I nail down some other long-term housing solution. The work itself can be fairly monotonous at times, and it is a little stereotypical when you think about the kind of energy that you need to exert while working in a quarry. There are also a ton of things to keep in mind and be careful of, because there is so much equipment in use all around the quarry, so it really is a trick to work hard and also stay on your toes.
I am thankful to know that there have not been any major accidents at this particular site for a very long time, so I know that management makes a big deal out of proper safety procedures. It’s nothing to be snuffed at, and it’s actually a reason for why I decided to leave my last job.
In my last position, I reported a number of safety hazards to my managers, and each time they would say that they would look into it, but after a few months past without any kind of checkup at all, I realized they never actually elevated the safety issues at all. When I confronted them about it, they made it sound like I had never brought it up in the first place.
After putting in my resignation letter the very next day, I was quickly trying to find a new position to make a living, and luckily came across the quarry outside of Washington DC. I found a position that I was qualified for, and then was on the hunt for some kind of housing that would suffice in the early days of the gig.
